Originally from Texas, Gordy Sauer holds an MFA from Columbia University. His work has appeared in Narrative Magazine, Boulevard, and LitHub, among other places. He has received fellowships and/or funding from the Columbia University School of the Arts and the Vermont Studio Center, and he currently works at the University of California, Davis. Child in the Valley is his first novel.
